Water-soluble PVAc glue (or white vinyl glue)
PVAc glue (based on polyvinyl acetate) is by far the most widely used of all. It becomes transparent and rubbery after drying.
However, it cannot withstand weight, humidity or temperature variations. It should therefore only be used indoors in a dry room, and is best suited to joining light pieces of wood, fabric or felt.
It takes quite a long time to dry on the surface (10 to 15 minutes), and 24 hours for it to dry completely. White vinyl glue is nevertheless reserved for assembling wood panels or derivatives.
