Equipped with one or more chains depending on the difficulty of conveying the product and featuring a very robust metal structure, these conveyors can handle granular and powdery products, wet or dry, over long distances and at very high flow rates. They have the advantage of being able to transport these bulk products on a straight horizontal or inclined path, with very good sealing.
The conveyor chain allows products to be transported without damage, with low energy consumption and a small footprint in relation to the volume transported. It is a quiet, clean and sealed piece of handling equipment as it is completely enclosed, which limits the retention of the products being transported.
Scrapers linked together by a chain are driven along a generally flat bottom, moving along and carrying the product accumulated between them. An opening at the top allows the product to be conveyed to be introduced, and an opening at the bottom, located at the other end of the conveyor, allows it to be discharged. A cover makes the device watertight. The chain forms a loop. At the ends of the conveyor, there is a drive system on one side and a chain tension adjustment mechanism on the other. The scrapers return to the start of the conveyor via the lower section.
