The FAV model is a roller freewheel. It is a stand-alone version, centred by plain bearings for low rotational speeds.
The device is supplied as standard lubricated with grease and ready for installation. It can be installed horizontally or vertically.
The complete FAV freewheel is used as an anti-drift device mounted on the end of the shaft opposite the drive of a bucket elevator. When the motor stops, the elevator must be reliably immobilised to prevent the material being transported from pulling the belt backwards, which would cause the motor to run backwards at high speed. The reaction torque is supported by the frame, via the torque arm and the stop block.
FAV complete freewheels with torque arms are roller freewheels mounted on plain bearings. They are grease-lubricated and therefore maintenance-free.
