Highly reliable, functions as a strain gauge
Detects belt pressure on the elevator chute. Electromechanical limit switch with no moving parts, it detects and prevents pulley, belt or band misalignment on closed or open conveyors, as well as on all types of elevators
It reacts to the pressure exerted by the belt or conveyor belt which, when misaligned, comes into contact with the front of the sensor
A relay contact can then trigger an alarm or shut down the machine.
The sensors are normally installed in pairs, on either side of the machine.
The sensors can be connected directly to a programmable logic controller or – for total safety – to an independent central unit.
